Run a pre-launch announcement

This page shows how to set up a pre-launch announcement for a new product on your product page.

Using a product launching on January 1, 2025 as an example, the following settings will produce the result below:

Until December 31, 2024:

• The Add to Cart button and dynamic checkout button are hidden

• The message "This product will be available on January 1, 2025" is displayed

From January 1, 2025:

• The Add to Cart button and dynamic checkout button are displayed

Step 1: Create a selling period rule

1. Click "Selling period rules" from the left menu

2. Click "Create rule" on the Selling period rules screen

3. Configure the following on the rule creation screen:

   • Title: Any text

   • Selling period — Start date: 2025-01-01 00:00

   • Before selling period — Product message: "This product will be available on January 1, 2025"

   • Before selling period — Alert message: "Selling period has not started yet."

4. Click "Save"

Step 2: Enable the status

1. Click "Enable" in the top-right of the rule screen created in Step 1

Step 3: Apply the selling period rule to products

1. Click "Products" from the left menu

2. Check the product(s) you want to apply the rule to

3. Click "Apply rule"

4. Select the rule created in Step 1 from the dialog

5. Click "Apply" in the dialog
