A selling period rule stores the start date and time, end date and time, and messages for each timing. You can apply one rule to multiple products or variants.
The fields you can set in a rule are as follows.

Before and after the selling period, you can hide or disable the add-to-cart button. The default is hidden. Dynamic checkout buttons such as Buy it now are hidden outside the selling period in either case.
Checkout is blocked, and an alert message is shown on the checkout page.

The rule status changes how it is reflected on applied products.
Enabled: The rule is reflected on applied products as configured
Disabled: The rule is stopped and is not reflected, even on products it is applied to
Start and end date and time use the time zone under Shopify admin → Settings → General.
For example, if the store time zone is Japan time (GMT+09:00 Osaka, Sapporo, Tokyo), the times you enter in the rule are also Japan time.
Note: Changing the store time zone after you save a rule does not convert the dates on existing rules.
Start and end date and time are in minutes. Seconds are always 00.
If you set "December 31, 2027 23:59," the actual end is 23:59:00. The 23:59 minute is already outside the selling period. To sell through the end of that day, set the end date and time to 00:00 the next day.
