Prices by Shopify plan are as follows. Annual billing is effectively 2 months cheaper than monthly billing. Monthly billing is charged every 30 days.

The free trial is once per store
If you switch between monthly and annual billing during the trial, the remaining trial time is kept
If you change the billing cycle when less than 6 hours remain, the trial is not applied and the paid subscription starts
